The Wake Up Call

I was in my mid-fifties. Overweight and out of shape. Mad case of chest pain and heart fibrillation sends me to emergency room. Scared I’m cashing it in. Limited help other than questionable pharmaceuticals for life. Not an option I’m willing to invest in. Future looked bleak. Present felt bleaker.

I commit to change lifestyle, to healthy eating, regular exercise, exploring alternative healthcare options.

Fast forward. As part of life change I:

  • Study and become a Certified Personal Trainer
  • Founded fitness company Go Well PDX, LLC.
  • Lose 25 – 30 lbs. over two years and regain fitness
  • Discover miracles of the magnificent human body
  • Develop personal owner’s manual for health

Future looks like a gift waiting to be unwrapped. Life in my sixties is awesome.

Rewriting Your Story

You are a miracle…a living, breathing miracle of cells and fluids and bone and muscle and tissue all going about dressed up as you, doing the wildly wonderful, crazy things that make life worthwhile.

I don’t care how much you weigh; I don’t care if you don’t know the difference between a kettle bell and a kettle chip. You are a marvel simply being…a human being human.

What I do care about is whether or not your current level of fitness supports you in doing the things you want to do.

My Exercise Philosophy

My fitness philosophy is pretty simple, very successful and is based on this single question:

Are you physically able to do the things you want to do?

If not, we can change that. Through simple movement/exercise, diet, paying attention to your habits and tweaking as needed you will feel better.
